Get involved at TheWaterStop. Help build a Junior Orienteering Community.

Building Community

Since September of 2004, the staff at TheWaterStop has been working to build a community of Junior Orienteers. After recognizing that the main thing that has been lacking in Junior Orienteering today, is a sense of community among the Juniors. Without this, we cannot expect our Juniors to succeed us and continue the growing legacy of Orienteering in our country. Here is a list of ways that you can contribute to the project and help develop a strong base of Junior Orienteers in our country.

Projects

Junior Development Program
The Junior Development Program is a network of coaches across the country working to develop Junior Orienteering on the local level. Find out how you can get involved in the Junior Development section.

Project WaterBug
Project WaterBug is a project that we have developed to spread the word about TheWaterStop to Juniors across the country. If you want to help spread the word to Juniors in your area, check out Project WaterBug to see how you can get involved.

Topic of the Week
The Topic of the Week project was developed to try to make the forums on TheWaterStop.org more lively. It will continue as long as we have topics to discuss. To participate, visit the News Topics page related to the Topic of the Week to find a list of the latest topics, and links to each discussion. If you have any ideas or suggestions for future topics, please post them here.

Donate

TheWaterStop.org is hosted on a private server for about $100 a year. There are also other costs for the printing of promotional materials and various other things. We also have plans for the development of future projects which will rely on a slightly larger fund, so any donations that exceed our basic costs will be put into this fund. This project is completely funded by donations, so all amounts are greatly accepted. You can donate via PayPal by clicking on the button below.

GO Orienteering has agreed to donate one copy of Orienteering by Renfrew to each donor of $12.95 or more, with all proceeds going to TheWaterStop. Be sure to check out GO Orienteering Supplies on the web at http://www.866gaiters.com for all your Orienteering supplies.
